KSHSAA Winter Sports Guidelines


Below is a summary of the KSHSAA Board of Director’s Winter Sports Meeting and changes made by them November 24.

1. The winter season will take place with a full season for each sport/activity. Dec. 1-Dec. 23 games and practice

2.  The winter moratorium has changed from December 23-January 3….meaning no practice or contact with athletes/students during this time frame.

3.  January 8th the first competition may begin after the winter moratorium

4.  There will be no spectators allowed from Dec. 1-January 28-Limited spectators will be allowed starting January 29.

5.  Face coverings are required the entire season for everyone unless a student is directly participating in the competition.  So coaches, managers, athletes on the bench or chair must wear a face covering.


We have some parents who will do Facebook Live for the MS basketball games.  We will also work on getting all events live streamed for people to watch.
