                      Monday, May 15th



Open Lunch:  Sophomores will be allowed to leave for Open Lunch this week.


Cross Country:  Any students interested in participating in Cross Country next year, please see Mr. Giersch in Room 205 during seminar this week.


Lunch:  Due to check-out schedules, breakfast and lunch will not be served on Thursday, May 18th.  However, if you would like to pick up a sack lunch on that date, you must sign up with Marge in the kitchen by tomorrow, May 16th.  Anyone who signs up for a lunch will be charged for a lunch regardless of whether it is picked up or not.  All meals must be picked up by 11:30 a.m.


PE Lockers:  All PE lockers must be cleaned out by Tuesday!  Items left behind will be thrown away on Wednesday.  If you need to keep your PE lock longer, please see Coach Schmitt.


Locker Clean-out:  Hall locker clean-out for all students will be Wednesday during lunch.  Mr. Keiswetter will be available at that time to sign your check-out sheets.


Football:  Team members need to please pick up camp registration forms from  Coach Sims or Coach Betz by May 19th.


Check-Out:  Student check-out sheets will be available on Tuesday during seminar.  You may pick them up in the CHS office at the following times:

       

Juniors:  3:00-3:10 pm

Sophomores:  3:10-3:20 pm

Freshmen:  3:20-3:30 pm

Girls Tennis:  There will be a Girls Tennis organizational meeting tomorrow during seminar.  Location TBD.  All girls planning on participating in Tennis next Fall should attend this meeting.


Senior 2017-18 Athletes Picture mtg:  There will be a 2017-18 Senior Athletes Picture meeting tomorrow in the Auditorium after the Tennis mtg.   All current Juniors planning on participating in Athletics next year should attend this meeting.



State Tennis Send-Off:  We will have a State Tennis send-off for Drew Starbuck on Thursday at 8:10 am in the CHS Auditorium.  Teachers, please take attendance, then escort your students to the auditorium.


Dance Team:   Dance camp deposits are due ASAP!  We still have 10 team members who have not yet paid.  Also, window decals are available to be picked up in the office if you have already paid for yours!


Dance & Cheer:  Congratulations to the following team members for their team vote awards!!!  All Lettering, Captains awards and Team voting awards & certificates will be handed out during student check-out, since our awards night was cancelled because of the blizzard!  :(  A complete list of awards will be given at that time as well.

Dance Team:   Dance camp deposits are due ASAP!  We still have 13 team members who have not yet paid.  Also, window decals are available to be picked up in the office if you have already paid for yours!


Dance & Cheer:  Congratulations to the following team members for their team vote awards!!!  All Lettering, Captains awards and Team voting awards & certificates will be handed out during student check-out, since our awards night was cancelled because of the blizzard!  :(  A complete list of awards will be given at that time as well.

Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors:  If you have not pre-enrolled for your classes for the 2017-18 school year, please come to the Career Center to meet with Mrs. Sullivan before the end of the week.


Sophomores & Juniors:  Please let Mrs. Sullivan know if you are interested in taking Engine Technology classes or Ag Welding classes next year.  These are free classes offered as dual credit through Northwest Kansas Technical College.


Survey:  The Thomas County Coalition and the CPS Wellness Committee needs your help with some basic information on your water intake.  Please complete the 5 question survey that is on your Class page on Classroom.  Thank you!

Seniors:  Today is the final day to turn in your Senior Awards Night sheet to Mrs. Goetz in the Career Center.

Music State Send-Off:  There will be a State Music send off for solo/ensemble participants today during seminar in the CHS auditorium.  The state music competition will be this Saturday in Chapman.


Dance Team:  Dance camp confirmations are due by today!!  Window decal orders are also due!!  Don’t forget, the end-of-year team party (for this year’s AND next year’s team members) will be Sunday at 6:00 pm.  Please check Facebook for more details!

CHS Daily Announcements

 

          Wednesday, April 19th




Boys Basketball:  There will be a meeting TODAY at 3:00 pm in the CHS auditorium for boys interested in going out for Basketball next year.  Topics on the agenda are:  Summer tournaments, summer schedule and summer workouts.


Prom:  Tuxedos are IN at Plum Creek!  The store will be open until 8:00 pm tonight, for students to pick them up.


Baseball:  Team pictures with Fotogirl will be Wednesday, April 26th at 4:00 pm at the baseball field.


Toiletries Drive:  The time to donate toiletries is running out!  The Senior Class will collect items through tomorrow morning.  They already have several pairs of socks donated from the Grade School and Middle Schools, so let’s hop to it at CHS!


ACT:  Students who took the ACT Practice test with Mrs. Henry on April 6th may stop by Mrs. Henry’s room after the ACT test today for a treat. Thanks for taking the extra time to prepare for the test!
